ABOUT THIS SITE

There is a singular driving purpose behind the creation of this site. It is an attempt at centralizing my writings in relation to various subjects (although mainly music-related), assorted ramblings, and perhaps other things I wish to make note of. I have found other sites incapable of this, for various reasons, and find the DIY approach of neocities generally appealing, despite a few rather inconsequential drawbacks. This static medium, despite its limitations, conveys chaos, and this inner turmoil and chaos is what defines us all, whether we deny or embrace this truth. You can see this if you look at any site hosted here; each one has a different aesthetic, different purpose, different presentation, and this is the chaos of the pre-Web 2.0 internet. In order to make a site like this, you need to have at least a basic knowledge of how to create a website from scratch, which is more than can be said for most user-based platforms. It requires some degree of intelligence.

I will not attest to whether or not what is written here will be consistent or not. Humanity is not known for consistency or a general sense of continuity, and if everyone was always completely static there would be nothing interesting about the species. Ultimately, human nature is a very anomalous thing, it can be a creator of great beauty or great destruction. A wise man once said: "nature can be unforgiving, but it takes the cruelty of humanity for that special touch."

MY HISTORY

As for who I am outside of the internet, it is ultimately of no importance. I have done a few things, and perhaps some of these I will reveal in time, and then perhaps some things will be left to the imagination. Nobody needs to know everything about everybody. I see this busy-body behavior all the time, whether from those in power or those around me, and it is a constant annoyance. While I doubt it's a problem exclusively where I live, it's noticeable for me for the fact I live here, not elsewhere.

There are many reasons one may choose anonymity over making their entire lives public; as for me, my reasoning is quite simply because I'm a relatively private person. Even my closest friends, online or otherwise, really know very little about me outside of how things appear and what I have said. From a very young age, I was taught to be wary of people I don't truly know, and I extend this to most people, even family. Anything you say can be used as a weapon against you, after all, and how well do you truly know anybody other than yourself?

I have rambled enough for now.
